Initial Applied Behavior Analysis Assessment
Our Initial ABA Assessment begins with an intake consultation. Our staff discusses areas of concern during this meeting and determines whether our services will meet your child's needs. We also help determine the level of benefits provided by your insurance company and make suggestions.
The second step in the process involves an assessment of your child and their skills. We assess your child using a variety of measures. This step is critical to forming a treatment plan tailored to your child's needs. We typically conduct the assessment in your home; we can set up appointments that meet your schedule.
Direct Care
Many children with Autism can demonstrate signs of learning when they receive care from a therapist who is trained in Applied Behavior Analysis. It can be more challenging to determine if your child has made progress in a large classroom setting.
We offer one-on-one care for your children, so you can see changes in day-to-day activities such as brushing teeth and using the toilet.
Applied Behavior Analysis Parent Training
Parents with ASD children need therapy too. We offer ABA training for a successful Applied Behavior Analysis therapeutic program. The training enables a parent to understand their children's behaviors better.
Applied Behavior Analysis Parent Training allows a parent to feel more empowered. Teaching an Autistic Spectrum Disorder child positive behaviors can be challenging for the parent, but with proper training, a parent can follow established methods for reinforcing positive behaviors.
The success of in-home Applied Behavior Analysis treatment is when the parents are adequately trained. The addition of ABA parent training to ABA treatment will improve family interactions and relationships. With parent training, parents and caregivers become aware of and understand their child's needs.
Applied Behavior Analysis Family Training
If your child has recently received a diagnosis of Autism or you have known about this condition for years, you know it affects not only the child but their family. Therefore, choosing a program that offers Applied Behavior Analysis Family Training is important.
We offer Applied Behavior Analysis Family training which is a service that can help you get the validation you need to know that you're making the right moves and help you learn about even more tools that will improve your specific situation.
Parents Support Group
You may feel cut off from others as you dedicate yourself to helping your children. You may also lack the adult interaction necessary for good mental and emotional health. By participating in parent support groups, you can make new friends and improve your health.
You can meet other parents in Hudson County who have children with Autism. Interacting with them can make you feel better, boost your confidence, and form some friendships.
BIP (Behavior Intervention Plans)
We create Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) for students with challenging behaviors during school, at home, or out in the community. These plans are designed to prevent negative behaviors from occurring or stop those already happening.
We help parents create Behavior Intervention Plans that address any known problem behavior. You should revise BIP regularly and make adjustments to align with the changing and developing behavioral issues.
School Consultations
At ABC therapy agency, one of our services is school consultations to improve the effectiveness of treatment for children on the spectrum. These consultations help children with autism spectrum disorders in schools where they are included in the student body to make progress. We help identify potential behavioral issues that the teachers may have noticed while at school.
Our BIP also helps teachers and administrators identify the possible causes of problem behavior so that they can take steps to stop the behavior. The plan will also describe strategies that staff members can develop and implement to prevent specific issues.
BCBA Supervision
Our treatment services are supervised by individuals holding BCBA or BCBA-D credentials, which are necessary for training and certifying staff members who provide behavior and analytic services. These credentials allow us to keep hiring qualified people to meet the growing need for treatment. Our BCBA supervision helps ensure that we provide updated methods for diagnosing and treating children with autism spectrum disorder.
CE Credits
In the future, we plan to offer continuing education that staff may earn as credits toward a licensure in our field. Once approved, we will offer CE needed for BCBA certification in the state. The staff can achieve their CE during their duties in the field without interrupting the therapeutic relationship with the children.
Social Skills Groups
ASD children often struggle with the required socializing skills. Our social skills groups foster understanding of the skills children lack and how they can use them. Unlike our one-on-one treatment, the group dynamic allows our staff to give multiple people individualized attention in a controlled and healthy environment.
The social skills groups aid in teaching basic social rules; the children learn to spot behavioral cues and apply them to their daily lives both at home and in school. Our staff and parents assist in creating a behavioral assessment, which identifies a child's problems with social interactions during different settings. Our treatment plan then allows us to help the child learn in a social skills group, providing fun ways of learning that keep them engaged and practicing what they have learned in the social skills.
You can enroll now for any of our above services, join our able team or participate in our upcoming events.
Applied Behavior Analysis treatment has proven results when used to teach young children with Autism. Applied Behavior Analysis therapists are not all equal in terms of quality or value; however, parents need to exercise a bit of due diligence in selecting a provider. Finding the right provider can be challenging, considering the number of treatment service providers available today. If you're in Hudson County, contact us today for an evaluation to see if Applied Behavior Analysis treatment is right for your child.
Research over the last 40+ years has shown the efficacy of ABA Therapy for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
A big shoutout to the ABS team for the incredible progress my son has made over the past year, thanks to Lennox, James, and the rest of your team. His communication, participation, and empathy have reached new heights. Everyday activities like baths and dinner are no longer a struggle. Now, with my son attending Kindergarten independently, we are excited to celebrate his graduation from ABA services. This achievement is a testament to your success. We truly appreciate everything you've done for my son!
